I’m pleased to say the gym continues to go from strength to strength, our relationships continue to grow across the local community and as far a field as Munster. In these challenging economic times our gym membership is healthy and the atmosphere is vibrant.
We’ve helped people achieve significant lifestyle changing weight loss and pushed some local sporting individuals to new levels of fitness. On a personal level the Boxercise group are brilliant, up for the challenge as well as the crack, with both the Monday and now the early birds Saturday morning class doing very well. Overall Boxercise has proven a great step forward for F1 fitness centre with not only our classes based in our studio but also taking Boxercise into local schools as part of the fitness curriculum.
The early part of the year was busy with Clon’ Rugby, 7 local GAA teams including Clon’ Seniors (County Champions 2009) and the Carbery Hurling Team for pre-season fitness was great fun. Taking our “on-pitch” training team out to the various local communities was a huge step forward for F1 and I thank Cahill & Dennis for their help and support in delivering the sessions. In the later part of the year I have completed the IRFU Conditioning Coaches Course, a great course including an excellent week in Carlow IT followed by on-site assessments, which I’d like to thank Des Ryan from the IRFU for his support throughout. During this time I have worked within the Munster Rugby youth development system in the south west providing an initial preseason package and we now look forward to the competition rounds in the New Year.
….and non of the above would be possible without the support of my wife Anna, often coaching in the gym or taken fitness training into local schools working with juniors at all ages, in addition to running her own Boxercise academy for ladies.
A successful gym is based around many different factors, of course the fundamentals of equipment are important but the knowledge and support behind your personalised training plan are without question the key to success.. ..So if you have a goal in mind, however small or specific, come and try F1 fitness centre because I’m confident we can help you achieve!
