What is Boxercise?
An easy answer would be, a fitness training session using some of the skills training used in boxing. That’s the basics, but we do our best to make it much more.. Whether you are looking to significantly improve your fitness, in a fun class based environment or you are looking for a fitness regime to support body fat loss and constructive dieting Boxercise can provide a combination of all these things.

 

Our classes during the week provide an opportunity to exercise with like minded people of all ages, willing to train hard and have a bit of fun. The Boxercise method we teach is based on combination punching on pads working with a partner or in small groups, using total body workout movements. As your basic skill level improves on the pads and your combinations develop in intensity, your fitness level will rapidly improve. This type of high intensity aerobic training is the perfect combination to support any diet system working towards body fat loss.

 

Our early birds mixed class on Saturday morning (9.30am – 10.30am) would be our toughest class for more advanced members, a great workout to start your weekend, a fast pace session using the full range of Boxercise techniques.

 

If you play Rugby, GAA, Row use the Gym or just like to keep fit the benefits of Boxercise are well proven with improved stamina, core strength, agility and mobility. So, if I have made you curious and interested to have a go, we would be delighted to see you. You can pay as you train at 10euro per class, or pay for a block of classes on which we give discount. We provide the basics of equipment to get you started, but if you like Boxercise and would like your own kit we sell both the Lonsdale hand wraps and pad gloves in the fitness centre.

 

At F1 fitness centre we have three instructors Roger, Anna & Denis. All are registered Boxercise instructors and insured as such. One to One training sessions are also available subject to assessment upon request.
